Chez Boet
Because we typically dine early, the restaurant was empty upon our arrival. This is usually concerning to us but we persevered. By the time we were served our entree the place began to fill up and we were relieved. Host/owner Phillippe met us at the door and we were seated immediately. Our server, Steve was congenial and informative regarding the menu and the specials. A basket of french baguette appeared and we all dug in, fresh and warm served with a homemade hummus, delicious. My better half decided on two starters, Soupe á l’Oignon and Sautéed Chicken liver salad. Our guest decided on Petit Carré a half order of New Zealand lamb rack served with Dijon, herbes, port wine sauce, just enough for a 98 year old gourmand. My preference was Kobe Boeuf Bourguignon, a l combination of fork tender kobe beef with carrots, mushrooms and pearl onions in a luscious reduction of red wine. We were well satisfied with our overall experience, excellent service, good ambiance and most importantly well prepared food served with a flair. We will be back. Highly recommended.
